Latest Re-Design Project for Robert Aycock, MD

We’ve recently completed a website re-design for our client Robert Aycock, MD. Dr. Aycock is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who has two practices in Walnut Creek and Greenbrae, serving patients throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

Turbo has worked with Dr. Aycock and his practice since 2017, so we were excited to give his website a new, fresh look. They wanted to keep their current branding, but improve the experience for their potential patients by making the site as easy to use as possible. They also wanted the site to look modern and elegant, just like their practice.

Our goal was to up re-design the website to give it more contemporary look, update the imagery, improve the procedure page layout, improve the site speed, and graphically improve the mobile interface. You can click here to visit the new website. Here are some of the features of the new website, which we developed on WordPress:

  • fully custom design
  • fully “responsive” layout with “sticky” mobile calls to action
  • parallax page components
  • improved navigation
  • Upgraded Turbo photo gallery
  • social media integration
  • full search engine optimization
  • blog integration
  • web forms for improved lead generation
  • fully secured via SSL

You can see the improvements in the after photos below. We wanted to give the site an updated look while still maintaining the branding Dr. Aycock’s patients have come to know. The new headers, as you’ll see on the inner pages and mobile, really enhanced the site to give it an interest-provoking look that brings the site together. While the old website was mobile responsive, it wasn’t as effective as it could be for optimal user experience and lead generation. Therefore, we wanted to improve the mobile layout and calls to action to help grow mobile leads, especially since for 2018 to date the website received over 68% of its traffic from mobile devices.

We applied the new branding elements to the inner pages as well, with new, modern headers on each page. The page formatting maintained a similar structure, but the new branding allowed the page to ‘pop’ more. We also wanted to add a stronger call to action within the copy to help drive prospects to take action. Lastly, we made the sidebar more prominent, allowing site visitors easier access to the gallery, related procedures, and a contact form on every page of the website.

Our goal with the mobile responsiveness of the new site was to improve the graphics and layout. The old site utilized our sticky footer plugin, so the primary calls to action were already in place. However, like the desktop site, the pages needed the new branding and an overall visual enhancement. We enhanced the format of the mobile site to display the main procedures right away, without having to scroll much at all. We slightly condensed the menu as well.
