We’ve got yet another project completed! This website development project was a full re-design for Levy Dermatology in Memphis, TN. Lead by Alan Levy, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist, Levy Dermatology specializes in both general dermatology services(including MOHs surgery), and cosmetic dermatology (including Botox, CoolSculpting, laser hair removal, and more).
Dr. Levy came to Turbo without having much digital marketing experience. His practice had primarily focused on general dermatology for years, but his goal was to grow the cosmetic side, with injectables and lasers. Our initial plan was to re-work the website look and feel to help with lead generation, a vital component in aesthetics, and then move into the marketing phase. Click here to visit the new website.
The old website had an out-dated design, but it was built on WordPress, which the new site is as well. We focused on widening the site, as well as implementing brighter colors, instead of the dull beige. We also modified the logo to work in this new color scheme. More importantly than the design, the old website had no SEO at all. We worked with the client to create a clean, well-optimized website that’s built to generate leads.
Here are some of the features of the client’s new WordPress website:
- custom design
- updated color schema and logo
- fully “responsive” layout with “sticky” mobile calls to action
- parallax page components
- improved navigation for seamlessly accessing individual procedure pages
- Turbo photo gallery (in development)
- social media integration
- full search engine optimization
- blog integration
- web forms for improved lead generation
You can see the difference in the before and afters below. The old website had more of a boxed-in look, limited mobile effectiveness, few calls to action, a disorganized menu, dull colors, and no search engine optimization at all. We re-organized the navigation, opening it up to allow for patients to find procedures by the specific area of the body they treat. We also moved procedures that were groped together on a single page into their own unique pages.
Here’s a look at the old navigation. This was confusing because of how they separated “Aesthetic” and “Cosmetic” services. Typically these terms are used interchangeably, but some procedures were assigned under Aesthetics and some under Cosmetics. Furthermore, many of the pages took 2-3 clicks to reach the main procedure page, so we focused on making it simpler, with one-click access to any page on the site…
You can see with the mobile side-by-side comparisons, the new site (on the right) has easy ‘tap to call’ and ‘tap to email’ calls-to-action that patients can see no matter where they are on any page on the website. The aforementioned menu re-organization also benefits mobile users…
