Our Latest MedSpa Website Re-Design Project

We’re excited to announce that Turbo has launched another website for a new medical spa client! This latest re-design project was for Fundamentals Med Spa, located in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The practice has been operated by Joanna Boyer, RN, since 2009.

Joanna came to Turbo in the Spring of 2018 looking for help with both website and marketing. She hadn’t updated her website since she opened her practice and was ready for an upgrade. She wanted to start by improving the overall look and feel of the website to better reflect the practice and the area in which the practice is located.

The old website wasn’t inherently bad, but it was clearly outdated. The website had outdated images and lacked conversion elements. Joanna wanted the site to have a restored small town look that represented the Red Brick Historic District in Indianapolis, where Fundamentals is located. Additionally, the site had some mobile functionality but definitely needed an improved interface for mobile users.

Using their current branding, we updated the site to provide a fun, modern look that demonstrated the character of the practice. We wanted to add more images, enhance the calls to action, as well as create a more user-friendly mobile interface. You can click here to visit the new website.

Here are some of the features of the new website:

  • fully custom design
  • fully “responsive” layout with “sticky” mobile calls to action
  • parallax page components
  • improved navigation
  • social media integration
  • full search engine optimization
  • blog integration
  • web forms for improved lead generation
  • fully secured via SSL

You can see the improvements in the after photos below. We maintained their current branding, but made the site much more visually appealing with modern, easy-to-read fonts and big, bold images. We improved the navigation) and focused more on the services offered directly on the homepage. We also added more conversion elements to encourage visitors to schedule an appointment.

One of the biggest issues on the old website was that the procedures were all compiled into one page and several were missing. We bulked up the site by giving each procedure its own page. This dramatically improved the website SEO and the navigation.

Not only did we need to create many new pages, but we needed to ensure each new page had prominent conversion elements. Therefore, our focus was to add lead capture forms in the sidebar. We added before & after images, links to the gallery and testimonials to the sidebar as well, to help with the website’s social proof. Lastly, as mentioned in the previous paragraph, we worked on separating and enhancing content for each procedure.

One of the biggest objectives of the website re-design project was to improve the mobile-responsiveness of the website. The previous website had some mobile responsiveness, but since it hadn’t been updated in several years, it needed a drastic update. The outdated mobile elements drastically hurt the user experience on the website and, ultimately, conversions.

Our Turbo sticky footer makes it easy for a website visitor to tap to call, email, or find directions to the practice no matter where they are or how far they’ve scrolled on any page on the website. You can see the difference below.
